Nothing is permanent, like my life quotes

When I was in elementary school, my quote was from a Chinese phrase, “No pain, no gain.” For me, the gain was the thin report paper, the teachers’ compliments, and 2-second-of applause in class.

When I turned 18, I didn’t care (even berate) to put any quotes in mind because the youth exuberance and self-centered spoiled me to do what I wanted in the name of searching for my life potential.

But, I never found anything that could stabilize me.

As I lived my life in a suitcase while fantasizing about this and gambling, I realized how many things in life I don’t know and can’t ever figure out; how differently people in reality define success; and how important to find a life passion.

Nearly 30, as my little sister got married, had kids, and moved out of home. I suddenly realized that I love George Orwell‘s precise and critical writing in average words; I’m amazed by the profound wisdom written in a way that triggers people to ponder; and I want to learn from the professionals and challenge my development of mindset.

It’s never too late to start.” becomes the quote that gives me confidence to sit with among teenagers.

At the same time, I have the valuable opportunity to ‘get old’ with my parents. My priority quote is either Health is Wealth” or “Don’t regret not doing a certain thing while your family were beside you.“

Now my life quote is simple. Focus my time on my loved ones; never hesitate to learn anything that intrigues me, and learn to enrich my mind instead of my bank account.
