Some People Don’t EVER Forgive. We Need to Forgive Ourselves to Move on.

A person’s hatred toward me should not be my death sentence, even if that person is my sister.

While reading this article, I reflected on my relationship with my sister- I once lay on the freezing floor to know I still could feel after knowing no matter how hard I tried, I could never receive genuine forgiveness from my loved one.

Now I realize it’s not deserved to cry for superficial forgiveness; it’s not important to prove I’ve changed; and it’s futile to expect other people to change.

I Forgive Myself

I once suffered serious depression, having hallucinations, hurting myself unconsciously, and causing an enormous burden on my family. I’ve been recovering through writing and backing to work, but my sister couldn’t forget and forgive my selfish behaviors.

In her opinion, the mental issue is an excuse for doing nothing but destructing.

She still sees me as a selfish psycho, complaining about this and envying that. I’ve been learning to forgive myself to have confidence in moving on and being a better daughter and aunt for her sons.

Therefore, my life is filled with renewed passion instead of gloomy redemption.

Apologize and Move on

Through self-reflecting, we courageously face our past mistakes. It’s never too late to apologize and make up by doing good things.

Some people are forever unable to forgive, no matter how much we sacrifice and do. They unintentionally want us to obsess with the stain. They refuse to heal the injury like it’s criminal evidence.

After we apologize for the past behaviors and make an effort to build up a new relationship, it’s no longer our fault for making someone deliberately drink poison as water, and they might get used to being drunk in hatred.

We should not blame ourselves for anything because everyone deserves a second chance once they confess their past wrongdoings, and so do I.

We Shape Ourselves Differently in Life

People are shaped by what they choose to see, listen, read, and learn. We might live in the same house, but lying on the sofa after work, one might search for teenagers’ pranks on TikTok, and the other might contemplate an article about human rights.

As time passes, we all choose our paths to move on in life. We should not lose our direction because people on different paths are condemning our past sins.

With two ears and two eyes, we listen to genuine kindness and read to absorb the wisdom, one mouth can whistle out the depression on a rainy day.
